I am always curious about the future production technology where robots and humans not only collaborate but also share intelligence.
As a side task, I sometimes find myself being involved in additive manufacturing techniques, mainly for product customization and handling strategy.
In addition to research activities, I love teaching and I have been delivering lecture and tutorial courses for B.Sc. and M.Sc. programs for subjects such as Industrial Robotics, and Automation Technology at the Universität Siegen, Germany.
I have experience as a lecturer and associate dean for academics at the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, in Ethiopia.
I completed B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, M.Sc. in Manufacturing Engineering, and M.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering (Robotics curriculum) in 2008, 2012, and 2015, respectively from Ethiopian and Italian Universities.
I earned a Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) degree from the University of Siegen, Germany, in 2024.
July 8, 2024: I have defended my Doctoral dissertation successfully.
August 2023: The conference article entitled “A Motion Capture-Based Approach to Human Work Analysis for Industrial Assembly Workstations” was presented at CARV/MCPC 2023 at the University of Bologna, Italy, and the paper was recognized for the Best Young Fellow Paper Award.
Jan. 16, 2023: Journal article Our article entitled “Explainable human activity recognition based on probabilistic spatial partitions for symbiotic workplaces” was published in the ‘International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing’ (Impact factor 4.1 (2022), with a 23% acceptance rate). Link here.
Nov. 19, 2022: Tadele Belay Tuli was elevated to the Senior Member level in the IEEE and participates in the Factory automation technical committee and Robotics.
Aug 4, 2022: Our article that addresses human motion quality and accuracy issues for the physical interaction of humans and robots in collaborative tasks has been published open access in the Intelligent Service Robotics journal. Your feedback and comments are very welcome. Please find it here.
